RateChecky (“RateChecky,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a feedback and reputation management service for small businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
By using RateChecky — whether as a business owner (“Business User”) or as a customer receiving a feedback request (“End User”) — you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We do not collect End User email addresses, payment information, or any data beyond what is described above.

We do not use your phone number or feedback for advertising, and we do not sell personal information to third parties.
RateChecky sends SMS messages to End Users on behalf of Business Users for the sole purpose of collecting post-appointment feedback.
What we collect: End User phone numbers are provided to us directly by the Business User at the time of or after a service appointment. We do not collect phone numbers through any other means.
How we use it: Phone numbers are used solely to send a one-time post-appointment feedback request via SMS. We do not use phone numbers for marketing, promotions, or any purpose beyond delivering the requested feedback message.
How we share it: Phone numbers are shared with Twilio, Inc., our SMS delivery provider, solely for the purpose of transmitting messages. Twilio’s privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with any other third parties.
Your choices: You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. After opting out, you will receive no further SMS messages from RateChecky. To request help, reply HELP or contact us at the email below.
Data retention: Phone numbers are retained only as long as the Business User maintains an active RateChecky account. Upon account deletion, associated End User data, including phone numbers, is permanently removed.
Private feedback messages and related business context (such as client name, service type, and rating) may be processed by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a draft recovery message. This draft is shown only to the Business User for their review — it is never sent automatically, and the Business User may edit or discard it before anything is sent to the End User.
We rely on the following third-party providers to operate RateChecky. Each handles a limited set of data strictly necessary for their function:

These providers are contractually restricted from using shared data for any purpose other than providing their service to us.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted data transmission and access-controlled databases, to protect information from unauthorized access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Business Users may request deletion of their account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. End Users may request removal of their phone number and feedback history by contacting the Business User directly or by replying STOP to opt out of future messages.
RateChecky is not directed at or intended for use by individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective Date” above. Continued use of RateChecky after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
